Privacy Policy

FavoBase ("we", "us" or "our") establishes this Privacy Policy (the "Policy") regarding the handling of users' personal information in the application "FavoWeather - Custom Weather" (the "App"). We do not operate servers of our own; except as described below, all data handled by the App stays on your device.
1. Information We Handle
The App handles the following information:
Location
- Only when you enable "show weather for current location", the App uses your device's location (latitude and longitude).
- The coordinates are sent to Apple Inc.'s weather service (WeatherKit) solely to retrieve weather data. Apple's handling of location data is subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.
- We do not collect or store your location.
- You can stop the use of location at any time from the App's settings or iOS Settings.
Saved locations and app settings
- Locations you register (place name, coordinates, label) and your settings are stored only on your device.
- To display the widget, the App uses the on-device shared container (App Group). Other than sending coordinates to Apple (WeatherKit) to retrieve weather data, nothing is sent off your device.
- When you search for a place, the search term you enter is sent to Apple's map service (MapKit) to look up place names.
User images
- Images you set as weather icons or backgrounds are stored only on your device and are never sent anywhere.
- Access to your photo library goes through the standard iOS photo picker, and only the images you select are handed to the App (full photo library access is not required).
Advertising-related information
- The App may use the advertising identifier (IDFA) to serve ads. Use of the IDFA requires your consent via iOS App Tracking Transparency; declining does not affect any feature of the App.
- Advertising providers (such as Google AdMob) may use their own technologies to show ads based on your interests.
- In regions where consent is legally required (such as the EEA and the UK), consent for advertising is obtained through Google's consent management platform. You can change your choices at any time from "Ad Privacy Settings" in the App's settings (shown only in applicable regions).
- Advertisements are no longer shown after you purchase the paid plan.
Purchase information
- Subscription purchases and payments are processed by Apple (App Store). We never receive your name, credit card details or similar information.
- The App manages only your purchase status (active / inactive) on your device.
2. Purposes of Use
The information above is used for the following purposes:
- Retrieving and displaying weather forecasts (current location and saved locations)
- Saving your settings such as locations, presets and images, and reflecting them in the widget
- Managing the purchase status of the paid plan
- Serving advertisements
- Responding to inquiries
3. Provision to Third Parties
We do not provide personal information to third parties without your consent, except in the following cases:
- Where required by law
- Where necessary to protect a person's life, body or property
- Retrieving weather data
- The coordinates needed to retrieve weather are sent to Apple Inc. (WeatherKit). See Apple's Privacy Policy for details.
- Provision to advertising providers
- Advertising platforms such as Google AdMob handle information under their own privacy policies.

4. Data Retention
- Saved locations, presets and images: kept on your device until you delete them.
- Weather data: held temporarily on your device for display and refreshed as needed.
- Uninstalling the App deletes all data stored on your device.
5. Security
We take appropriate security measures to prevent leakage, loss or damage of personal information. Apart from the communications required to retrieve weather (Apple) and serve advertisements (Google), all of the App's data stays on your device.
6. Your Rights
You have the following rights:
- View and delete saved locations, presets and images (within the App)
- Revoke location access (iOS Settings)
- Reset the advertising identifier and decline tracking (iOS Settings)
- Change your advertising consent choices (in applicable regions, from "Ad Privacy Settings" in the App)
7. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may revise this Policy as necessary. The revised Policy takes effect when posted in the App or on our website.
